iCONNECT™, a local company, is a provider of quality wireless telecommunications products and services in the Marianas in the Western Pacific. iCONNECT™ offers its signature Instant Connect Push-To-Talk (PTT) digital cellular and text messaging services based on Motorola’s cutting-edge iDEN® technology on both prepaid and postpaid platforms.
iCONNECT™ started in 1999 taking over Motorola’s existing mobile radio network in Guam and Saipan and deployed the next generation enhanced specialized mobile radio service. iCONNECT™ debuted on Guam in February 2001.
It extended its services to Saipan in December 2002. By spring 2004, Tinian and Rota were added, with all four islands connected for the first time by one service. Since December 2004 iCONNECT™ users enjoy huge savings from Nationwide Minutes where a call to the 50 states costs the same as a local call.
