SIM CARD

The iCONNECT SIM Card works only with an IDEN Sim-based handset provided by iCONNECT. Detach your iCONNECT SIM Card from the SIM Card holder and insert it into the slot in your mobile phone. Do not touch the golden metal contact plate of your SIM card as this might damage it.

There are 2 types of Sim Cards currently used: 32k and 64k Sim Cards.

A 32K Sim Card can store up to 250 phonebook entries and can be used with 2 digit phone series like i30, i35, i50, i55, i60, i90, i95 and 3 digit phone series like the i205, i215, etc. A 32K Sim Card can not assign unique ring tones and pictures to contacts in Falcon series.

The 64K Sim Card can store more data like 600 phonebook contacts. This Sim Card can only be used with the 3 digit phone series like the i205, i215, i285, i305, i315, i325, i325IS, i530, i730, i736, i830, i860, i870, i930; The 64K Sim Card is not compatible with the 2 digit phone model series.


HOW TO MAKE A PUSH-TO-TALK (PTT) CALL
There are several fleet groups for Push-To-Talk. Each fleet indicates whether a subscriber is from Guam or CNMI or subscriber is a Roamer (Guam and CNMI) or a prepaid subscriber. Each fleet group is indicated by a prefix (number followed by an asterisk *) and the PTT number.

Various fleet groups and prefixes:

1*PTT number – Guam subscriber

5*PTT number – CNMI subscriber

8*PTT number – Roamer (Guam and CNMI)

6*PTT number – Prepaid subscriber (Guam and CNMI)

How to call the various fleet groups

1. To Push-To-Talk with the same fleet group as yours, you do not have to key in the prefix. Just dial the last 4 digits of his or her cellular number. Example: a Guam subscriber calling a Guam subscriber or prepaid subscriber calling a prepaid subscriber.

2. To Push-To-Talk with PREPAID subscribers with cellular numbers starting with:

868 prefix (868xxxx), dial 6*8 and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no. Example: 6*8xxxx

878 prefix (878xxxx), dial 6*6 and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no. Example: 6*6xxxx

3. To Push-To-Talk with GUAM POSTPAID subscribers with cellular numbers starting with:

888 prefix, dial 1* and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no.

898 prefix, dial 1*4 and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no.

To Push-To-Talk with a GUAM PUSH-TO-TALK ONLY subscriber, dial 1* & the radio no.

4. To Push-To-Talk with CNMI POSTPAID subscribers with cellular numbers starting with:

888 prefix, dial 5* and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no.

898 prefix, dial 5*4 and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no.

To Push-To-Talk with a CNMI PUSH-TO-TALK ONLY subscriber, dial 5* and the radio no.

5. To Push-To-Talk with ROAMERS with cellular numbers starting with:

888 prefix, dial 8* and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no.

898 prefix, dial 8*4 and the last 4 digits of the cellphone no.


HOW TO MAKE A CELLULAR CALL

Cellular Prefixes

888xxxx cellular prefix means subscriber is postpaid.  PTT number to call is 1* and the last 4 digit of the cellular number (1*xxxx).

898xxxx cellular prefix means subscriber is postpaid.  PTT number to call is 1*4 and the last 4 digit of the cellular number (1*4xxxx).

868xxxx cellular prefix means subscriber is prepaid.  PTT number to call is 6*8 and the last 4 digit of the cellular number (6*8xxxx).

878xxxx cellular prefix means subscriber is prepaid.  PTT number to call is 6*6 and the last 4 digit of the cellular number (6*6xxxx).

Calling from Guam

to another iCONNECT number in Guam, just dial the 7-digit iCONNECT no. (local call)

to another iCONNECT number in CNMI, just dial the 7-digit iCONNECT no. (local call)

to a CNMI landline or another CNMI cellular network, add 670 to the 7-digit telephone or cellular number (long distance call).

Calling from the CNMI

to another iCONNECT no. in the CNMI, just dial the 7-digit iCONNECT no. (local call)

to another iCONNECT number in Guam, just dial the 7-digit iCONNECT no. (local call)

to a Guam landline or another Guam cellular network, add 671 to the 7-digit telephone or cellular number (long distance call).


GUAM-CNMI ROAMING

Your cellular service is automatically on roaming.

For PTT, you have to subscribe to roaming to be able to use PTT in both Guam and the CNMI.  Prefix for Roamers is 8*xxxx.


MAKING AN INTERNATIONAL CALL

You can make international calls as follows:

Option 1 (International format)

Press + followed by the country code, then the area code and the telephone

number.  Press SEND.  Example: (Philippines) +63 2 8181234

Option 2 (International Access Code)

Dial 011 followed by the country code, then the area code and the telephone

number.  Press SEND.  Example: (Philippines) 011 63 2 8181234


COVERAGE

Coverage for Push-To-Talk, cellular and texting is the same from Guam to Saipan, Tinian and Rota.


CALL FORWARDING

To activate call forwarding:

1. Press MENU

2. Scroll down to CALL FORWARD and press SELECT.

3. Under FORWARD, press CHANGE and select BUSY, NO ANSWER, UNREACHABLE or ALL CALLS.

4. Encode 671 (Guam) or 670 (CNMI) followed by the 7-digit telephone number you wish to forward all your calls to.

5. Confirm the telephone number and press CHANGE to activate the service.

To deactivate call forwarding:

1. Press MENU.

2. Scroll down to CALL FORWARD and press SELECT.

3. Under FORWARD, press CHANGE and select OFF.

4. Confirm the telephone number and press CHANGE to deactivate.


VOICEMAIL

To set up or retrieve voicemail:

1. Dial *** and enter temporary pass code which is 1234.

2. Follow the automated attendant for further instructions to complete your voicemail setup, change the pass code or to retrieve your voicemails.

To deactivate voicemail:

1. Press MENU.

2. Scroll down to CALL FORWARD and press SELECT.

3. Under FORWARD, press CHANGE and select DETAILED.

Under BUSY, NO ANSWER, UNREACHABLE or ALL CALLS >MENU >RETRIEVE STAT >OFF

To reactivate your voicemail:

1. Press MENU.

2. Scroll down to CALL FORWARD and press SELECT.

3. Under FORWARD, press CHANGE and select DETAILED.

4. There are 4 conditions (Busy, No Answer, Unreachable or All Calls) you can choose from to have your calls transferred to your voicemail.

5. Choose one condition, press CHANGE and encode 999 followed by your phone number.

6. Confirm your number and press OK to activate this service.



TEXT MESSAGING

Text messaging is activated upon purchase.

To activate, set the message center number by using the following steps:

  1. Go to  MENU
  2. Select  MESSAGE
  3. Select  OUTBOX
  4. Press MENU button
  5. Select  TEXT MESSAGE SETUP
  6. Go to SERVICE CENTER NUMBER
  7. Type 16718886809
  8. Then press OK. You can start texting ICONNECT subscribers.
